Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this mascara! Used it for the 1st time today and it is a really nice and easy to apply mascara. I just applied it like I would with any mascara and it really opened my eyelashes to make my eyes look bigger. There were no clumps and it was not messy in any way. I like this mascara because it makes my lashes look soft and floaty. I have just worn it all day and it has stayed perfect, no transfer of mascara around my eyes, still looks just how it did when I first applied it. I think this mascara will also work well if built up for a more dramatic going out look. Love, love, love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic curl, good for contacts and long wear As someone who wears contacts, I often find that some mascaras flake and cause issues but this Mascara is excellent as it doesn't flake after a few hours. I also find it's good if you have downward curling lashes, it perks them up without having to curl your lashes before hand. The wand is interesting, it has a helix design that aids curling. It could of been a little bit smaller to help get into the corners but other than that it has good application. It's jet black with good hold and no fallout, it isn't overly thickening though, but it doesn't cause spidering so you may want to apply several coats if you want a substantial effect. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I was looking for a mascara that doesn't smudge as fast but a different colour other than black. I really like the waterproof mascara in this brand but only comes in black. Sales women convinced me that this new mascara won't smudge a lot or come off to quick. The only time it would come off is if you come in contact with water. This new mascara is really bad and horrible as it makes your eyes water, even just blinking makes the mascara run, smudge and really stings your eyes. It's also really clumpy and sticky. Only good thing about it was that the blue colour is really nice colour. I really want a waterproof mascara in a mother colour other than black.

It gives my eyelashes volume without clumping. It does not smudge at all. I just love this mascara. I am going to buy a full size very soon. It's a must have Mascara. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Delivers Thick, Voluminous Lashes Received a sample of this product from YSL last week, it has simple yet attractive packaging. Not as pretty as the likes of Babydoll, but pleasing all the same. On first look, the formula appeared to be thick and clumpy and I was apprehensive about the outcome. However, the soft brush and wet formula allow you to quickly build up a dramatic lash effect. I have long lashes, so I'm not sure how effective it is at lengthening, but it builds volume rapidly. I actually prefer this formula to babydoll as it isn't as dry or flaky, and you get a big effect quickly. Definitely perfect for night-out lashes! Also, quite unusually, the mascara actually smells great. Took me by surprise! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drama! So I got sent a sample size of the shock ysl mascara and I have tried it for over a week and let me start by saying I havent reached for any other mascara! This mascara gives you volume and length without clumping and adds a dramatic difference with just one coat. Applying a second coat to the lashes gives them a false lash look and the best thing is you dont need to line your water line. This mascara is a staple in anyones makeup bag. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Difficult to apply neatly The description on the box gave me high hopes that it would exceed my current mascara, the mascara is indeed very black & dense & smooth to apply, but the given the shape of the brush (wider at each end) I found it impossible not to get it all over my eyelids, so even though I was grateful to receive the free sample, I would not even use the freebie again as it ruined my pre applied makeup.
